Black History Month

Bigotry is an extra hot topic these days.  The world holds its breath as America grapples with their new polarizing presidency.

I have not been silent.  I marched with my sisters and barked into the Internet.  I pour my emotions onto canvas and paper and howl into the darkness.

I rarely 'feel' colour.  I am what I am.   I do spend a fair chunk of time theorizing colour and the distorted rainbow of social issues born from our varied melanin.

Being of indiscernible ethnicity I feel a little like everyone.  And no one.  A transient moving unnoticed among the crowds, free to observe unobserved.

I'll use this Black History Month to delve deeper into my roots and the roots of bigotry towards all people, because they come for all of us eventually.
